In order to affect the change you desire, you must have alignment in the areas of awareness, action, and accountability to your cause.  This week I  intend to help you gain awareness of what may be holding you back and  what next best action(s) you  can take to help you move more rapidly in the direction of your goals.

The components of expanding your Zone of Brilliance  are:
One: Identifying your unique Zone of Brilliance .
Two: Identifying what keeps you from being and operating in your Zone of Brilliance to the level that drives the success you desire.
Three: Create a simple action plan of the next best actions you can take to reduce the items that keep you from being in your Zone of Brilliance and thereby expand your productivity and profitability.

Basic Instructions:
Step 1:
Think about your ideal work day and week and identify the tasks and activities you are brilliant at  or could become brilliant at performing. List those  in the Purpose section. Think about the activities you enjoy performing throughout your workday and workweek.  List those in your Passion section. Notice what activities throughout your day and week that yield you the highest financial pay off. List those under Profit section. Notice that there will be a select few activities that overlap in all three areas of your Purpose, Passion and Profit.  These activities are your Zone of Brilliance.

The goal is to notice how much time during your work day and work week you are spending in your Zone of Brilliance. If you will expand your time in your Zone of Brilliance, you will thereby increase your income, success and happiness.

Step 2:  Identify what Interruptions and Distractions get in the way of you performing in your Zone of Brilliance. There is a difference between the two.  Interruptions are those unexpected and often situational based intrusions into our environment that disrupts our focus. i.e., people, emergencies and so on. Distractions are those elements already in our environment that pull our focus and attention away from the high priority activities. i.e., emails, piles of files on our desk, other actions items, clutter and the web… just to name a few.  Simply by becoming aware of the difference and noticing what specific forms each may come in can be a big step with a big impact.  List them out accordingly

Step 3:  Bring forth your best strategic thinking and come up with ways that you can either limit, eliminate, delegate or relegate the typical Interruptions and ongoing Distractions you listed  in Step 2.  This in and of itself will lead to the opportunity of expanding time in your Zone of Brilliance.

However, nature  abhors a vacuum. So, if you don’t consciously design specific ways to fill the new found time and focus in with what you desire it will fill back up with what was once in its place.

Make it up, make it fun & make it happen!
