Brilliant FAQ's about Coaching
Q: What is coaching?
A: Coaching is a highly focused process that
unlocks potential and maximizes performance in any area of
life weather it be professional or personal. It is a formal
system that produces positive, lasting change.
Conducted one-on-one in a collaborative &
confidential environment, coaching provides an opportunity
to gain clarity, remove self-imposed limitations and become
more self-reliant, so you can fully tap into your strengths.
Q: What is a coach?
A: A personal coach is someone who can help
you ignite your potential and help you stay focused &
accountable to your vision.
Q: Who hires a coach and why?
A: People hire a coach because:
- They want to make their life easier
- They want to grow or change and move beyond
their current comfort zone so they can expand it.
- They want more (or less) of something that
they've decided is important in their life
Q: Why haven't I heard of coaching before?
A: Coaching has long since been the the best-kept
secret of the rich.
The richest people in the world use coaches and it's no accident.
What all high achievers know is that they need someone who
can give them an objective view on the results they are working
to create in their lives. A coach not only holds you accountable
for the results you desire, a coach also provides you with
insights and strategies you can use to achieve those results
in the best way possible.

to feel more fulfilled, supported, encouraged, inspired, motivated,
listened to, understood, confident, successful!
Q: How do I choose a coach?
A: Working with the right personal coach can
have a profound impact both on your success and fulfillment.
Given the significant commitment of money and time that a
coach would require from you, it would be in your interest
to spend some quality time on selecting the right coach.
- Interview several and have sample sessions.
You want to make sure you have a rapport with your coach
and can have the basis for respect and trust. Ask for a
sample session. Ask for references. And at the end, trust
your "gut" feeling in this process.
- Know what you want in a coach. Do you have
a male or female, or age preference for your coach? Are
there specific personal styles that you are drawn to? To
the extent you can articulate clearly what you are looking
for, you can find your match faster.
- Know what outcomes you seek. Do you want
to focus on your career, your relationships, your work/life
balance, or something more specific?
- Know what you need. Coaching is not therapy.
Make sure you understand the difference between the two
and are really seeking the right venue for your needs.
Q: How long do your individual clients
work with you?
A: I recommend (but do not require) that my
clients make a three-month commitment to the process. My clients
sometimes hire me for a specific project or for unlimited
periods of time.
Most of my clients work with me three weeks
on and one week off for about a year. After that, many of
my clients have their sessions once or twice a month as a
check-in and for ongoing improvement.
Q. Who are your typical clients?
A. I have clients that I work with one-on-one
